Our Sustainability Strategy for 2023

Sustainable development is an integral part of our business model and strategy. Our approach is based on creating value through the positive impacts we generate for our stakeholders and the wider economy, society, and the environment, while also minimizing any potential negative impacts arising from our business activities. Additionally, within the framework of sustainable development, we place special emphasis on promoting corporate responsibility within the Greek logistics and supply chain sector.

The management of PAEGAE sets the strategic direction and significant issues of sustainable development, providing necessary guidance and taking into account the needs and expectations of the company’s stakeholders. Subsequently, the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) team, which consists of specialized staff, is responsible for coordinating and maintaining systematic dialogue with stakeholders on sustainable development issues, as well as for the development, implementation, and monitoring of the corporate responsibility action plan. This action plan is evaluated annually and adjusted based on progress and any additional issues arising from our relationship with stakeholders. Consequently, the sustainability strategy reflects PAEGAE’s commitment to responsible entrepreneurship and its continuous dedication to creating value for the entire economy, society, and environment.

Strategic Pillars of Sustainable Development

Creating Value for the Market and the Broader Economy We analyze our business model with the primary aim of identifying the impacts directly resulting from the current financial and non-financial inputs required for our operations, as well as the impacts we generate across all types of capital. In this way, our contribution to sustainable development is closely linked to our business activity and the role we assume within the value chain for our clients and the broader market.

Creating Value for Our People We invest in our people and strive to attract and retain talented employees. We are committed to their continuous development and training, providing additional financial and non-financial incentives. We invest in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and partners, while fully respecting human rights, equal opportunities, and diversity.

Creating Value for the Local Community We implement actions focused on education, particularly for the younger generation, aiming to promote social, cultural, and educational development, ultimately contributing to meaningful social development in our sector. This approach allows us to return part of the generated value to strengthen the local community.

Creating Value for the Environment Our activities are closely related to the environment. We focus our efforts on reducing our carbon footprint, minimizing air pollution, and ensuring the sustainable management of water and liquid waste. We also monitor the solid waste we produce, as well as the potential impacts and opportunities of climate change on our operations.
